This is "US"! We
are a mother/daughter team who absolutely fell in love with this
beautiful little dog...The Mi-Ki! We were so taken with this rare
toy breed, that we decided everyone should have one...hence, we started
our journey into the world of dog breeding. Oh, could we tell you
some comical stories. It has definitely been an enlightened road
full of new concepts, experiences, some sorrows, but most of
all, lots of wonderful new people who have adopted our beautiful
Mi-Kis and given them a wonderful life, and who have opened up their
hearts and homes to us as well. We have made some wonderful
friends and met some absolutely lovely families.
We
are Tamara Beebe and Tiffany Wilkerson-Hood. We were both born in
the Midwest, but Tamara has since migrated to warmer climates and has
ended up on a beautiful piece of property in Arizona, called Tamden
Acres where she shares her life with her husband Dennis, her 5 gorgeous
Missouri Fox Trotters, 2 Golden Retrievers (Chance & Bailey), 1 old
kitty named Sammy, two parakeets, occasional visits from her 3 children
and 5 grandchildren, and her Mi-Kis. As you can tell by that
list, Tamara has a passion and love for animals! Her life-long
dream was to become a veterinarian, but instead she got me! What
a bargain! I like to call her a professional amateur
midwife. She has helped deliver kittens, foals, calves, puppies,
and even grandchildren!
A PARTIAL VIEW OF THE BEAUTIFUL "TAMDEN ACRES"!

I,
on the other hand, have migrated from the warmer climates of Arizona
back to my roots in Decatur, Illinois. What can I say...I love
the seasons! I have a terrific husband, 4 beautiful children, a
wonderful step-daughter, and my absolutely wonderful Mi-Kis! I
have really taken an interest in the showing aspect of breeding.
I have enjoyed traveling to the different shows, seeing new places, and
of course, exhibiting my Mi-Kis at shows all over the United
States. I have been fortunate in that I have one particular Mi-Ki
that has just soared to new heights in the show ring, and that is
Majestic Duchess. (seen below) She is the first ever Mi-Ki to win
a Best In Show. Not only has she won once, but twice, three
times, and alas four times... along with several Reserves, and Best In
Show Gold Cups, and many Best In Show Rare Breed. It has been a
ton of fun watching my baby girl accomplish things no Mi-Ki ever
has! I am so proud of her and all of my Mi-Kis. I look
forward to what the future has in store for the wonderful Mi-Ki breed.
